Orietta Luporini – Luca Pieruccioni in concert (four-handed piano)
The idea at the basis of the program is to celebrate the 700th anniversary Dante Alighieri’s death (1321). This is a piano recital where the whole Dante-Simphonie by Ferenc Liszt is executed as a four-hands piano trascription made by the composer Arthur Hahn.
The concert will be accompanied by the projection of the Divina Commedia’s illustrations by Gustave Doré (1832-1883), the brilliant French painter and engraver who illustrated the Divina Commedia using the engraving technique.
Literature, music and painting come together, with the aim of offering the public the opportunity to actively enjoy the beauty of the Dante-Symphonie, which is rarely included in concert programs.
