Native of Boston, the 49-year-old American pianist has also achieved considerable popularity in Europe. Strongly inspired by the classics and in particular by the Jamaican pianist Monty Alexander, Aaron is gifted with a great sense of swing, but his curiosity led him to become passionate about Brazilian music, in particular the compositions of Antonio Carlos Jobim which he offers in every one of his shows , and to cultured European music. Equipped with great instrumental prowess and a tasteful rhythmic-melodic attack, since the early years of his career he has been the object of attention from some of the most important jazz musicians, from Michael Brecker to Kenny Garrett, from Mark Turner to Kurt Rosenwinkel, and in particular Joshua Redman, with whom he has had an intense relationship of artistic collaboration for more than twenty years, earning him the nickname pianist of the jazz stars. In this project we see at his side the great New Zealand double bass player Matt Penman, and the young and super-talented Sicilian drummer, Joe Santoro.
