Ex Novo Ensemble
A hundred years after Ferruccio Busoni’s death, this concert pays homage to him with three pieces belonging to three different phases of his creative career: the Solo Dramatique – composed at the age of thirteen for his clarinetist father – Kultaselle, a mature, brilliant and virtuosic work, and Elegia, which presents the most evolved harmonic language of his last creative phase. He pays tribute to the intellectual guide figure who saw him involved in the development of many composers of his time, from Kurt Weill to Philipp Jarnach, from Stefan Wolpe to Wladimir Vogel, to Edgard Varèse
