Incantati lirismi (Enchanted lyricism) covers expressive Romantic vocalism from Carl Maria von Weber to contemporary territories. If Carl Maria von Weber, with his Trio in G minor op. 63, is considered the proto-romantic composer par excellence, then Schumann’s Kinderszenen op. 15, revisited through Murail’s transfigured lyricism, are no less one of the archetypal places of German Romanticism, concluding and crowning this programme. In between, Elena Firsova, with her intimate reflection, as well as the new work by Daniela Terranova, capable of evoking mystical and immaterial atmospheres by placing timbre at the centre of all dramatic sound, and Elliott Carter, who has by now risen to the status of a classic, interpret the infinite nuances of these enchanted lyricisms.
