An impressive work, Lou Salomé is the only theatrical experiment by Giuseppe Sinopoli, who after the first performance withdrew the score with the intention of putting it back in hand, but who later abandoned the compositional activity to devote himself exclusively to conducting, leaving unexecuted the job. Today’s recovery, the first in thirty years, is therefore also the first Italian representation. The new staging of the Teatro La Fenice Foundation will renew the long-standing collaboration with the Faculty of Design and Arts of the University Institute of Architecture in Venice.
