Amos Alfredson Project
Opening: Lorenzo Vitolo piano solo
Saverio Tasca Trio
Saverio Tasca – Vibraphone
Alessio Zoratto – Double bass
Luca Colussi – Drums
The Saverio Tasca Vibes Trio, with Alessio Zoratto on double bass and Luca Colussi on drums, changes the sound of the usual Piano Trio, a formation that has already given so much to this style, replacing the piano with the vibraphone. The resulting timbre is more fluid, liquid, although the trio also expresses great rhythm and liveliness. Original songs are proposed that are inspired by people, by their authentic life in open contrast with globalization. They are music full of suggestions which nevertheless stimulate individual reflections. The Amos Alfredson Project was in fact created to add a new voice to that jazz trend of the old continent which incorporates musical, compositional and expressive traditions typical of much Western, classical and ethnic music. Saverio Tasca’s compositional style is characterized by constant introspective research that involves both the emotional and logical parts of the listener. The concert will be opened by the young Neapolitan pianist Lorenzo Vitolo, for the Tomorrow’s Jazz circuit, dedicated to young talents of Italian jazz.
