One of the new names in European jazz, already widely appreciated by specialized critics: the Greek pianist Tania Giannouli, who in May 2021 received, together with her instrumental colleagues Tigran Hamasyan and Shai Maestro, the nomination for the Deutscher Jazzpreis, an important recognition of German discography
Composer and improviser, Tania Giannouli transfers this double dimension to the keyboard which leads her to explore the world of jazz with personality, also making use of her classical background and the folkloric influences of her land of origin. His solo piano concerts therefore accompany the listener on a sonic journey in which the inventiveness of the moment is combined with different influences, which gradually intersect dynamically and with progressive intensity. Tania Giannouli won first place in the “New International Talent” Top Jazz 2023 ranking of the Musica Jazz magazine.
